Tips to Get (You and) Your Moving Containers Moved into Utah

If you’re planning on moving to Utah, or relocating in Utah but you don’t know where to start looking to get your storage container moved in, it can be an overwhelming task. One that you would just have to pile on top of the other overwhelming tasks associated with moving anywhere. With so much on your mind, these few steps should make it a little easier.

Packing

Packing can be the most difficult part of moving. Luckily you won’t have to spend as much money if you get used boxes discounted or for free by going to stores like Dollar General, that don’t want the cardboard. Call ahead of time to see how much it will cost you to take the boxes off their hands, and plan to line up several stores so you don’t have to make as many trips back and forth.

You probably don’t want to spend a bunch of money on bubble warp to protect all your valuables. It can get expensive and annoying, because you won’t have any use for the bubble wrap after you move. So, you can save money by wrapping your ceramics and glass in clothing. Jackets make great protective coverings because they are usually thicker than traditional clothing. And if you do buy bubble wrap, you can easily resell it if it is still in good condition.

To pack plates, try arranging them vertically in their box so they don’t break as easily. Cups can be packed with socks, or bits of paper.

Labeling

Don’t forget to label all the boxes. Taking a sharpie directly to the box is the easiest way, and probably the cheapest so you don’t have to worry about buying labels, but you’ll still know what each box contains. Be specific, and label the room they go to as well.

Extra Tip: Don’t forget the thaw the refrigerator so you don’t have list minute messes when you unplug it to move.  (For more tips on moving go here).

Pack the Moving Container and Transport it

As you’re putting everything away, the boxes with the most important items should be packed into the moving container last so they are the first thing you get to at the new house. Be sure to pick a moving container that will be able to hold all the furniture, and boxes that you need to move. It’s better to get a moving container that’s larger than you need than smaller. If it’s too small you won’t be able to fit everything into one trip.

Next, when you’re ready you’ll want to transport your container to your new house. A cost-effective way is to use Gecko container transport Logistics Perth, starting your search there will save you a lot of time and effort. Just schedule a date and time and be ready to move on and in.

Move In!

Once you have your shipping container at your new house, get a few friends to help you move your items into it. Though, by now you may have saved enough money to be able to hire professional movers without feeling the guilt of overspending.

Enjoy Your New Home

Now that everything is all said and done, you’ve got your items into your home, your furniture is unpacked, and you haven’t stressed over having valuables broken or the money you’ve spent it’s time to sit back and relax.
