Utah's
diverse geography provides a wealth of recreational opportunities.
Internationally recognized for the quality of its powder snow skiing,
ski resorts throughout the state offer outstanding downhill and
cross-country skiing from early fall through late spring. Some of
the best hunting and fishing in the west are found in Utah. Utah's
marshes provide excellent duck hunting, and deer and elk are found
throughout the state. Water sports enthusiasts will find ample
opportunity to swim, ski, and boat on un-crowded lakes and reservoirs
that dot the countryside and mountains. Camping, biking, and
hiking opportunities are abundant in both the mountains of the north and
the parks in the south. Team and individual sports are available
for both the participant and spectator. Communities offer golf,
tennis, baseball, softball, soccer, swimming, running, skating,
basketball, football, bowling, and fitness opportunities.
